60 Years of Mafalda

This year we celebrate 60 years since the birth of Mafalda, that curious, critical, and thoughtful little girl with a deep concern for humanity and world peace. Her popularity has transcended generations and borders, becoming a symbol of children’s critical thinking.

Her famous quotes have made Mafalda one of the most beloved children’s characters in history.
Today, her comic strips and iconic phrases are still read by millions of people learning Spanish.

Spainfield wishes to pay tribute to her creator, Quino, who, through Mafalda, has helped us see life in a different light.
